What’s the Difference Between Renting and Buying Land?
This is the most common question we get — so let’s break it down!
What is Renting?
Renting does not require you to have a Second Life Premium membership. We hold the land under our group and pay all Linden Lab fees. You simply pay a weekly rental fee to us.
Once you pay the rental meter, you’ll receive an automatic group invite. After joining, you'll have access to change most land settings, including the name, description, music stream, image, ban list, and more. The only setting you can’t change directly is Search listing, but we’re happy to enable it for you at the standard L$30/week (charged by Linden Lab).
What is Buying?
Buying land requires a Premium membership with Second Life. You’ll be responsible for paying Linden Lab directly, both for the Premium subscription and any land tier fees beyond your included allotment.
